You, The Olympian
Every four years, the world gathers around screens to watch the Winter Olympics. Somehow, no matter what else is happening in our lives, those moments pull us in. We cheer for athletes we’ve never met, feel our hearts race during photo-finish endings, and get swept up in stories of grit, heartbreak, and amazing comebacks.
There’s something deeply compelling about witnessing people push the limits of what a human body – and spirit – can do. Their journeys remind us that excellence is rarely accidental; it’s built quietly, consistently, and often against the odds. They also show that those in non-marquee sports (skiathlon, anyone?) are just as dedicated and talented as the figure skaters and downhill skiers.
While we may not be competing under the lights in Italy, each of us is an Olympian in our own arena – at home, at work, in our communities – where we show up every day. So, what are you an Olympian in?
