The Great Thaw
A large portion of people in Texas experienced the great freeze in the last couple of weeks that closed schools and city offices and sent many into indoor hibernation for several days to avoid the cold and frozen roads. Let’s face it, precipitation in Texas can bring everything to a standstill.
Then comes the great thaw. It’s an awkward time of ice melting and re-freezing. Is it safe to get out? Should we stay in a bit longer? Cabin fever sets in.
We all know that it will eventually melt, and we can get back to our normal routines. However, if we aren’t careful, we can easily miss the beauty of the glistening winter frost all around us. It’s a great reminder to enjoy things in the moment. Take it all in. After all, it will all change again soon.
